I joined yogatantra about 10 months ago. The reason I joined was that I could practice yoga under supervision of a trained yoga teacher. It was totally an eye opener for me.although I did yogasans earlier I learnt that they were just a part of the larger picture . And yoga isn't just about a set of exercises. And it definitely is not a quick fix for weight loss / curing diseases. Practiced diligently, it is a way of life. The orientation to breathing & meditation was something new in my life. I hope to perfect the breathing techniques someday. I am discovering ways to beat my stress . Also my weight is better, my eating is better n sleeping is a lot better. Hoping to continue with the practice of yoga for the rest of my life.

My journey towards Yoga began more out of a desperation to cure my Sinus problems and Asthma. After doing all kinds of tests, consuming all kinds of medicines, I resorted to Yoga as my last recuse measure. My mother started researching about variety of classes on the internet and I finally decided to join Vijaya Madam’s class. A seventeen year old frail I started attending Yoga class. To be honest, it was not quite easy. While my friends were busy doing crunches, building muscle, I was sitting on a mattress, trying to focus on my breathing pattern. It was not a glamourous beginning. Thanks to my dedicated mother, however, I managed to attend most classes in the first few months. Slowly and steadily, things started changing. I realized thatI had gained nearly fifteen kilograms in a year. The daily late-night routine of using an inhaler now became a monthly affair. My stamina was rising and the Sinus issues were at bay. Surprisingly, I was now attending each class because I was enjoying Yoga. It’s been two years since the inception. From deep-breathing, I have come all the way up to Pranayama. This journey has had its fair share of ups and downs, but Vijaya Madam’s disciplined teaching, her dedication towards her students and her ability to infuse philosophy with Kriyas has helped me immensely in developing myself. Yoga is a lifelong journey and the best station to begin your journey is Yogatantra!

I started my Yoga classes from 2nd December 2016. Before practicing yoga I used to feel very lazy and depressed, but in a months time I started feeling very active and happy. The credit goes to Yoga teacher as she is a very good trainer, she personally gives her attention to every student and sees to it that every asan has done correctly. She emphasizes on breathing pattern while doing asan. Also I got rid off my gas problem within a very short span of time. I got very good results mentally and physically. Thanks to Yoga and my yoga guru Ms. Vijaya Khare. By devoting little time to yoga we can keep all health hazards at bay.

Yoga has been the inspiration of the newest chapter in my life. I made the decision one fine day in 2013 to take up Yoga as I was burnt out and tired. This caused me to be irritable and tense all the time. My body was stiff and felt wired up. Happened to browse on the net and found Yogatantra and decided to try. I am glad i took that step as i found the right Guru in vijaya khare in every sense as she slowly guided physical and emotional aspect of my problems. Yoga has made me calm. Feel a sense of achievement as some of the Asans that i thought I would never be able to do i can do with ease. I feel extremely energetic and a lot more focused due to meditation. I thank Vijaya for all the guidance and her passion for Yoga is very infectious as i today whole heartedly Embrace Yoga as part of my lifestyle.

Having learned yoga exercises from an early age, one must assume 'I know Yoga', but for some reason, I felt I had never really learned. And among all the fitness options, Yoga just felt the right thing to do. But how does one do it yourself? Call it laziness or lack of guidance I felt I was missing something. My search for that guidance finally ended with my teacher Ms. Vijaya Khare. But does yoga really help? To be honest it is a bit difficult to quantify the effects. It's more a way of life than a part of it. One consistent problem which I have dealt with is PCOS which I can now say is improving. I personally feel its meditation and pranayama taught at 'Yogatantra' that has brought about the change. It's still an ongoing process and my teacher helps and guides us with good techniques. I have also realized some difference in my angry and feeling depressed attitude. My mind feels much lighter and more focused. To conclude this I will add, I always look forward to attending the class because it's my sure shot dose of calmness for that 1 hour. PS: She scolds, but it still feels good :)

I joined Yogtantra in October 2013 with the view of staying fit physically. In these past six months Mrs Khare had made me realise that inner calm and peace gained through regular meditation, is of the same, if not more, importance than the practice of asanas . The interaction and sharing of thoughts that I have with her on a regular basis make me look forward to this class everyday.
Thank you Yogatantra!

Jyoti R. Shinde Mulund
I, Jyoti Shinde from Mulund wish to share my experience about Yoga with all who like to live a peaceful and healthy life without medicines. Our Yoga teacher Mrs. Vijaya Khare told us about strength of Yoga in curing the chronic diseases. I joined the Yoga class not with intention to cure any disease. But after practicing Yoga and Pranayam I not only achieved peace of mind but also found that painful cramping in the abdomen during the first days of menstruation stopped without any medical treatment. I am practicing yoga and pranayam the way Mrs. Khare taught in her class in Mulund since last couple of years. Before that on every menstrual cycle, cramping in the abdomen was common to me and was used to bear the severe pain every month and sometimes sleepless nights. I tried many medicines but failed to get a complete relief from it. However, after practicing Yoga with Pranayam, I am now facing no pains during menstrual cycle. I would like to advise you all to practice yoga and pranayam and make your life peaceful and healthy. It takes not more than 30 minutes to do it. Spending this much time early in the morning makes whole day joyful. I have experienced this and wish you all also join me.

learnt the Pranayam in most simple way from Mrs. Vijaya Khare who taught not only the practical way to practice it but also taught theory and spiritual base of the yoga and Pranayam. I was suffering from acute allergic rhinitis in all seasons. I tried Homeopathy and Allopathic treatment occasionally, but found no long term relief. By practicing Pranayam continuously for couple of months as directed by Mrs Khare, I realised that frequency of this allergic disease and nasal congestion drastically reduced. After continuing the Pranayama now I have got rid of allergic rhinitis to a great extent. I feel much more relaxed and am able to discern life more clearly since I am practicing pranayam daily. I spend only half hour in the morning to complete the entire pranayam process. I wish all my friends who want to remain healthy and happy throughout the life should start prcticing yoga and pranayam.

It was a difficult phase in my life both mentally and physically, when I found Yogatantra as I was searching for something which could help me delve deeply into my soul and help me understand myself and my body. Practicing Yoga under the mastership of Mrs. Vijaya Khare and Mr. Oniel Khare helped me elevate myself above my problems and made me peaceful which paved way to learn, see and understand life in a very positive way. It taught me that experiences cannot be considered as bad or good because experience is a lesson I get to learn by facing each situation with a stable mind and a strong heart and each experience makes us a better person than who we were before. Yoga did help me losing weight and making me quiet flexible and healthy but these are only the bi-products. As i indulge to continue practising yoga it helps me uncover my true potential and helps me keep my foot grounded to the earth. Thank You Yogatantra for teaching me so much in such a short time.
